What I actually own, use and plan to add

Every item below carries an honest status. If I haven't tested something, it says so. That's the point.

EcoFlow power station

What it is: A portable battery power station with AC and USB outputs.
Why I chose it: I needed my networking equipment to stay powered through brief electrical interruptions without noise, fuel or setup time.
What problem it solves for me: A short flicker used to restart my modem and router and drop business calls. With the equipment running from the power station, those brief interruptions no longer reach the gear.
Important clarification: It provides electrical continuity only. It does not increase internet speed and it cannot help if the internet service itself is down.

Generac GP3000i generator

What it is: A portable inverter generator.
Why I chose it: Battery capacity is finite. A generator covers the longer outage that a power station alone can't.
Safety: Generators must be operated outdoors, away from windows and enclosed spaces, per the manufacturer's instructions. Nothing on this site is generator, fuel-storage or electrical-connection instruction — use the manufacturer documentation and authoritative local guidance.

Captured speed test showing 360 Mbps download and 380 Mbps upload — One captured real-world speed test: 360 Mbps down, 380 Mbps up, 2 ms unloaded / 13 ms loaded latency. A snapshot, not a guaranteed speed.

Telmex fiber internet

What it is: My primary wired internet connection.
What problem it solves for me: It's the connection my work depends on daily. The captured test above is a single snapshot of one moment, not a constant or guaranteed speed.
Limitation: It depends on local terrestrial infrastructure, which is exactly why a second, independent internet path is on my list.

Anker power / surge equipment

What it is: Surge-protected power strip and charging equipment at the desk.
What problem it solves for me: Organized, protected distribution for the equipment I keep on backup power.

Emergency drinking-water reserve

What it is: Nine 5-gallon jugs of stored drinking water — 45 gallons total.
Why: On an island, a simple stored reserve is one of the easiest layers to put in place. This quantity reflects my household, not a recommendation for yours.

Why it's on the list: To add an internet path that does not depend on the same local terrestrial infrastructure as my primary connection.
Current status: Planned. Not purchased, not installed, not tested. I'll publish real notes once it's actually running.

Why it's on the list: To have a way to replenish stored electrical energy that doesn't require fuel.
Current status: Planned. No brand or model chosen yet, nothing purchased, nothing tested.

Current status: Researching. No products selected. When I choose and use something, it will appear here with real notes.
